By Taiykes, an Afro pop artist who broke into the Nigerian music scene with so much energy and talent, is set to finally release his long-awaited EP titled ‘Distance’ on March 29.
Speaking on the project, the singer said, “Making a single song is not an easy task even though the process is satisfying.
“I have put in so much effort, time and creativity on my first body of work titled DistanceEP which contains songs that can easily connect with your soul musically and ignite your emotion.”
Distance EP has a runtime of 25 minutes and comprises of eight (8) tracks listed as follows: Track 1 – Distance | Track 2 – Say Yes | Track 3 – Any How | Track 4 – Coco Butter | Track 5 – Kind of Party | Track 6 – Padi Mi ft Adx Artquake | Track 7 – Duduyemi | Track 8 – Folake featuring Richy Manny.
According to Taiykes, “The joy of every artist is not only the money he makes from his musical works but, seeing his works skyrocketed brings an innate joy and happiness that knows no limit. For every fast rising act the journey to greatness is not an easy task. In a country like Nigeria, musical artists have to strive hard to be heard which involves a whooping sum of money and hard work to get things right. ”
The music star thanked everyone supporting his craft especially those streaming his two most recent singles, “Folake” & “Say Yes” off the soon-to-be-released EP.
“Happy to see the duos making numbers on major streaming platforms with Folake taking up 75,000 streams on Boomplay and Say Yes having daily increase in the number of streams. You guys are the real deal.
