Former Nigerian Minister of Culture and Tourism, Femi Fani-Kayode has lashed out at Peter Obi over his claim of victory at the recently concluded 2023 presidential election.
Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter page on Thursday to chastise the Labour Party presidential candidate who vowed to prove he won the election while addressing the Press earlier today.
Aside labelling Obi’s supporters delusional and suffering from hypnotic psychosis, the outspoken lawyer also tagged Obi as ‘”poor and lost soul”.
“Peter the Pooh says he won the election? Wonders never cease! Now I know where the Obidients get their mass delusion & hypnotic psychosis from. Can someone tell this poor, lost soul to stop shedding tears on nat. television. He can leave that to Dati the Daft: he is good at it,” Fani-Kayode tweeted.
Prior to Fani-Kayode’s statement, Obi has urged Nigerians to remain resolute, stressing in his tweet after addressing the press that the party’s mandate shall be reclaimed.
“I have just finished addressing an international press conference. I urge Nigerians to remain resolute. We won this election and we will prove it to Nigerians. We shall reclaim our mandate via due process. Please do not despair!” Obi had earlier tweeted.
While addressing the press, the presidential hopeful had confirmed his intent to challenge the election result in court.
“We have been asked to go to the courts; let’s go there. Remember that I am obedient, I am going to go where I am directed to go,” he said.
