Family War In Oniru As Palace Security Slaps Late Oniru’s Son Over Lekki Property
A mild drama was witnessed at Millennium Estate Lekki on Sunday between security officials attached to the 15th Oniru of Iru Land, Oba Gbolahan Lawal and son of late Oniru, Prince Tijani Oniru.
Multiple reports alleged that the new Oniru’s security officials accosted Tijani while going to one of the houses given to him and his siblings by the late father and 14th Oniru, late Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru. According to the video gathered by BlackBox Nigeria, Tijani was slapped by one of the security guards who claimed they were attacked by the Prince. The attacked Tijani is also brother to On-Air-Personality, Tolu Oniru-Demuren, (Toolz).
It was learnt that the drama maybe connected to properties the late Oniru shared to his children among which is located in Millennium Estate, Lekki. An eyewitness disclosed that the security officials told Tijani to return the properties the late Oniru gave out to the new Oniru, Oba Lawal.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the new Oniru had in a newspaper publication announced that all properties and accounts previously operated by late Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru has been taken over by him and instructed all stakeholders, including bankers and developers to discontinue dealing with anyone except since he emerged as the new traditional ruler.
