An existing land dispute between two families aggravated when one of the parties dug out two corpses of the members of the opposing family, three weeks after burial.
The incident happened in Isiozi Umuaka area of Imo state.
Reportedly, a mother and her daughter-in-law are the corpses buried who died 6 and 4 years ago respectively but couldn’t be buried due to the lingering land disagreement.
The corpses were buried three weeks ago on the land under the dispute, but the other family insisted that the case is still pending in court, hence proceeded to dig them out and take them to the market square.
