False Accusation: Court Imposes Additional Restriction On APC LAHA Aspirant, Onamade, To Now Report Every Week To Panti
The Presiding Judge, Honourable Justice F.O. Faji at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, has placed additional restrictions on Oluwatosin Onamade in the ongoing trial of false accusation against Hon. Fatiu Salisu, the former Chairman of Ijede Ijede Local Council Development Area in Lagos State.
Onanmade who is vying to represent Ikorodu Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly was told to be reporting to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Lagos every Monday pending the determination of his administrative bail application.
Giving the ruling, the Judge said,” the defendant shall report to the State CID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, every Monday. If any condition before the court is breached, the Complainant will be at liberty to rest him”.
The additional restriction placed on the defendant was occasioned by a letter presented by Onamade’s Counsel intimating the court that he is a cardiac patient and on appointments at the hospital.
Recall that on Friday, February 18, 2022, the Chief Executive Officer, Western Funeral Home Limited had been granted administrative bail on health grounds but to avoid him jumping bail, the court ruled that he should submit his passport to the Registrar of the court.
The suit instituted by the Inspector – General of Police against Onamade for falsely accusing Fatiu of murder was further adjourned till July 11, 2022 for the determination of the bail alplication.
