One of such insight and counsel is coming from Jimoh Hamzat, an advocate that resides in the Ikorodu division of the state. His take bothered on road infrastructure that will strategically boost the Internally Generated Fund, IGR of the state.
The Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, CIPM charged the incoming governor to replicate in Ikorodu the success story of the expansion of Allen Avenue to the end of Opebi Road in Ikeja connecting the link bridge to the Muritala Muhammed International Airport.
Jimoh Hamzat in his open letter to Sanwo-Olu further analyzed that repeating the same thing Ikorodu will also make huge economic sense to the state as the Itamaga to Ijede road in Ikorodu, inwards the Egbin Thermal station in Ijede is three times longer than the Allen-Avenue to Opebi road.

Dear Babajide Sanwo-olu, the revenue that is being generated on the stretch of Allen Avenue to the end of Opebi Road in Ikeja was made possible with the expansion of the Allen Avenue road and the opening of the Opebi-Link Bridge inwards Sheraton to connect Mobolaji Bank Anthony inwards Maryland to the left and Ikeja-General Hospital to the right connecting the link bridge to Muritala Muhammed International Airport.
The revenue, tax generated on this Allen-Avenue to the end of Opebi road cannot be overemphasized.
The Itamaga to Ijede road in Ikorodu, inwards the Egbin Thermal station in Ijede is 3 times longer than the Allen-Avenue to Opebi road. If this road is given an expansion and made to connect Igbe, Igbogbo road outwards the Oba Sekumade road in Ipakodu, the amount of revenue that will be generated with this expansion cannot be over emphasized.
And to think that from the Ijede ferry terminal, one can connect Victoria Island, Ajah, Langbasa and Lekki within 10 to 15mins approximately by ferry service. This will no doubt reduce the despicable traffic often experienced on the Ketu-Ikorodu road.
The 4th Mainland bridge will have been the best shot for this axis, but in the main time, an expansion of this road will give an optimal service to users of the road.
The great people of Ikorodu will forever hold remember you if you do this and many other uplifts in Ikorodu.
