By A former governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande, on Thursday, passed away at the age of 91.
The nonagenarian was said to have revalidated his APC membership yesterday afternoon. He later complained of a slight fever around 11pm on Wednesday night, before he gave up the ghost in the early hours of Thursday.
BlackBox Nigeria learnt that Jakande, who was the first civilian governor of Lagos State, will be buried on Friday.
In a statement, the Committee of Friends of late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, has disclosed details of his burial arrangements.
1. Pre-Burial prayers at number 2 Bishop Street Ilupeju, Lagos State on Friday 12, February 2021 at 9am.
2. Interment at Volts and Gardens Ikoyi at 4pm Friday 12, February 2021.
According to the family, they had a virtual meeting with the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday afternoon.
