The candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the recently concluded Lagos East senatorial and Kosofe Constituency II bye-elections, Tokunbo Abiru and Femi Saheed, on Sunday, paid a visit to the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his residence in Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The victorious politicians were accompanied to the former Lagos State governor’s house by other big wigs of the Lagos APC. They include Chairman of Tokunbo Abiru Campaign Team, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya; APC Lagos Chairman, Hon. Tunde Balogun; House of Representatives member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson; Chairman Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Sesan Daini; Chairman Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo and former member Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Segun Olulade.
Abiru, now Lagos East Senator-Elect, polled 89,204 votes to defeat his closest rival, Babatunde Gbadamosi of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 11,251 votes.
While Femi Saheed had 12, 434 votes against the 2,008 votes polled by the PDP candidate Sikiru Alebiosu, thus securing the Kosofe Constituency II seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
