Examination Is Not A True Test Of Knowledge- Sacked Kaduna Teachers Cry Out

Aggrieved Primary School Teachers in Kaduna State which were recently sacked by the State Government have all cried out, stating that their knowledge were not really tested by the examination. The teachers were sacked after failing a competency test.

It will be recalled that the Government had staged the examination for the over 30,000 workers, using Primary 4 standard questions, but, unfortunately about 22,000 of the teachers failed woefully leaving them out of job.

In a banner now circulating online, some of the teachers were seen protesting that their inability to pass the exam was not enough to rate them poor and not fit for the job. The teachers has since approached the State’s Chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress to fight on its behalf, and the union have threatened strike in the State should the poor ranked teachers not get reinstated.
