Ex-Lagos Guber Candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi opens up on Amen Estate – claims estranged wife is hurriedly selling off assets against court order
Mr. Babatunde Olalere GBADAMOSI, a former Lagos State gubernatorial candidate, has once again issued a public warning regarding the sale of properties linked to ongoing divorce proceedings involving Amen Estate and Amen Estate Phase 2 on Eleko Beach Road, Ibeju-Lekki.
In a statement released on the 19th of September amid a legal battle with his estranged wife, Mrs. Folasade Balogun Gbadamosi, Mr. Gbadamosi cautioned potential buyers against engaging in transactions involving assets claimed by both parties.
“These properties, under Redbrick Homes International Ltd and Ashlead Estates Ltd, constitute assets accumulated during our 21-year marriage,” Mr. Gbadamosi stated, referencing his cross-petition pending before the High Court of Ogun State. He expressed concern over alleged attempts by Mrs. Folasade Balogun Gbadamosi to quickly liquidate and disperse these assets, potentially impacting their division in legal proceedings.
Mr. Gbadamosi warned that purchases from Mrs. Folasade Balogun Gbadamosi or associated entities, including Redbrick, Ashlead, Tiara Gardens, Emerald Bay, Emerald Park, and Amen City, carry significant legal risks.
The trouble between the couple reportedly began when Babatunde Gbadamosi met and married Yinka Balogun. She is the daughter of the late Kola Balogun, who served as a senator representing Oyo South senatorial district from 2019 to 2023. Yinka is now known as Yinka Balogun Gbadamosi, according to a report by DC News.
Recall that 3 years ago, his ex-wife, Sade, released a statement providing evidence that the politician willingly resigned as a director and transferred his shares in Redbrick Homes International Ltd in July 2021, in the presence of his lawyer and a witness 3 years ago
“For clarity, Mr. Gbadamosi, formerly a sleeping partner/shareholder and Director at Redbrick Homes International Ltd without financial investment, has since transferred all his shares in Redbrick Homes Intl Ltd for consideration and resigned from its Board effective July 1, 2021,” the statement stated
Despite these claims, in his latest public advisory, Mr. Gbadamosi warned that such transactions could potentially be seen as fraudulent acts aimed at manipulating the judicial process and undermining his legitimate claims during ongoing litigation.
