Former Chelsea midfielder Lamisha Musonda has made a heartbreaking announcement, revealing that he has only a few days left to live as he battles a critical health condition.
In an emotional statement shared publicly, Musonda reflected on the challenges he has faced over the past two years and expressed gratitude for the support he’s received throughout his journey. “As I realise I only have a few days left, I also realise I had a lot of people by my side and I’ll always cherish the memories,” he said.
The 31-year-old, who began his career at Chelsea and is the older brother of fellow footballer Charly Musonda, shared that despite ongoing efforts, his health has deteriorated severely. “My family and I are fighting, and I won’t quit until my last breath,” he said.
Musonda took a moment to thank football and education for shaping his life, stating that he wishes to be remembered not for fame or accolades, but for the genuine connections he made. “The good people I met along the way… the teammates, the teachers, the coaches, the bus drivers… It’s for them, I love you all.”
His statement has sparked an outpouring of support from fans and former teammates, as the football world rallies around the Belgian ex-professional in what he describes as his final days.
