Ethiopian Airline’s 4months Old Boeing 737 Crashes In Addis Ababa With 157 Onboard
Ethiopian Airline’s newly acquired plane, a Boeing 737 has crashed in Addis Ababa moments after taking off on a trip to Nairobi, Kenya, BlackBox Nigeria reports.
It was gathered that the passenger plane which was a brand new aircraft acquired four months ago took off with 149 passengers and 8 cabin crew members onboard.
The crash incident has been confirmed by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed in a statement some moments ago.
The crashed plane is a Boeing 737 Max 8 with registration ET-AVJ was on a scheduled flight from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Nairobi, Kenya. All 157 people onboard were reported dead after the incident.
