Popular estranged Nollywood couple, Fathia Williams and Saidi Balogun are celebrating their birthday today.
The duo took to their individual Instagram pages to celebrate their special day.
Sharing a beautiful picture of herself to mark her new age, the actress wrote: “It is with great pleasure that I am here to celebrate another year of my life. I am grateful for surviving all the challenges throughout the last 365 days and turning a year older. Happy Birthday to me.”
Her ex-husband and Nollywood actor cum movie producer, Saidi Balogun also posted a cute picture of himself rocking agbada to celebrate his 55th birthday, with the caption: “Stepping into the new age on eagle’s wings, it’s time to SOAR. ”
Interestingly, checks on their Instagram pages by our correspondent shows that the duo shunned each other on their birthday. The reason for this may not be unconnected with their sour relationship.
The celebrity duo tied the knot on September 7, 2000 at the Ikorodu marriage registry in Lagos State. They parted ways due to irreconcilable differences when their marriage hit the rocks after the six years. The union was was blessed with two children — Khalid and Aliyah Balogun.
After their official divorce in 2014, Fathia kept her husband’s surname until 2017 when she opted for her maiden name, Williams.
