Former Tottenham midfielder, Christian Eriksen has made a return to Premier League after agreeing a six-month deal with Brentford.

The Danish was left out of Inter squad since the beginning of the 2021/2022 season after he suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark Euro 2020 campaign opener against Finland.

Having reportedly gone dead for five minutes, the 29-year-old was placed on life support and would later have an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) device inserted in him. The implant sabotaged his Inter Milan career as such condition is impermissible under the law guiding Italian football.

Speaking on his return to Premier League seven months after the gory incident, Eriksen expressed his delight to make a return to competitive action.

“I’m happy to announce I’ve signed for Brentford, I can’t wait to get started and hopefully I’ll see you all very soon,” Eriksen confirmed on Monday.

His move to Brentford, who were promoted to the Premier League for the first time last season, is subject to international clearance and comes after a lengthy medical evaluation.
