MANCHESTER CITY VS LIVERPOOL
On saturday, Manchester City welcome Liverpool to town for a blockbuster Premier League showdown.
Both sides have started the season with two wins and a draw, but they will be looking to claim a big scalp by getting one over their rivals this weekend.
Manchester City have not recorded a Premier League win over Liverpool since August 2014, when they ran out 3-1 winners at the Etihad. They have however beaten them on penalties since then (2016 League Cup final).
Pep Guardiola is yet to get the better of Jurgen Klopp since arriving in the Premier League last season.
In the Premier League era, these two sides have met 40 times. Manchester City have only won seven of them with Liverpool taking the spoils on 18 separate occasions. There have also been 15 draws.
Liverpool beat Manchester City 6-0 back in October 1995, a record Premier League margin of victory in this particular fixture.
The first match between these two clubs took place in 1893, when Manchester City were known as Ardwick.
*Leicester City vs. Chelsea*
Later on saturday, Leicester welcome Chelsea as the last two Premier League title winners face off at the King Power Stadium.
Antonio Conte’s defending champions travel to Leicester unlikely heroes of the 2015-16 season with Italian coach putting his side well on the road to recovery.
The Blues lost their opening game of the new campaign 3-2 at home to Burnley, but wins against Tottenham and Everton have seen Chelsea get back on track.
Craig Shakespeare’s Leicester will also welcome not one former midfielder, but two, as Danny Drinkwater returns to his former club in his first game as a Chelsea player since joining former Foxes star N’Golo Kante in west London following a deadline day transfer.
