An artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok, developed by Elon Musk in connection with X (formerly Twitter) has ignited a storm on social media after releasing a controversial list of the “10 most foolish Nigerian influencers on X.”
The list, generated in response to a query by a verified user, @Chukwudaluobii, was based on what Grok described as “X sentiment analysis and diverse sources” including user threads and media critiques.
The influencers were ranked according to alleged clout-chasing, misinformation, and poor judgment.
Topping the list is Daniel Regha, labelled for giving “unsolicited, shallow advice,” followed by VeryDarkMan, who was accused of engaging in “paid drama and controversies.”
Other figures on the list include:
3. Abazz – criticized for “clout-chasing BBN simping.”
4. Reno Omokri – tagged for “divisive, biased critiques.”
5. Femi Fani-Kayode – described as engaging in “inflammatory bigotry.”
6. Japheth Omojuwa – accused of “ethnic hatred, inconsistency.”
7. Saida Boj – blamed for “sensational, reckless takes.”
8. Tacha – known for “petty feuds, attention-seeking.”
9. Bobrisky – labelled for “scandal-prone antics.”
10. Peller – dismissed as “viral but superficial content.”
The post has drawn mixed reactions online, with over 2,500 likes and numerous retweets.
While some users applauded Grok’s “brutal honesty,” others criticized the list as biased, harsh, and potentially defamatory.
Meanwhile, rebuttal is expected to come from these high profile influencers towards the list.
As AI increasingly intersects with social discourse, this incident raises fresh concerns about online reputations, digital accountability, and the growing influence of machine-generated content in shaping public narratives.
