Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has stated the condition that must be met before he can step down from his position.
Following a poll on his verified Twitter account, the Tesla CEO sought tweeps’ opinions on his resignation as CEO of the microblogging site, claiming that he will follow the results.
The poll, which was conducted on Monday, December 19, received over 17.5 million votes, with 57.5% of voters wanting him to resign and the remaining 42.5% supporting him continuing in his position at the company.
On December 21, the controversial CEO responded to the tweet with a thread, stating that he will resign as soon as he finds someone foolish enough to take the job. He stated that he will be content to lead the software and server teams. At the time of publication, the tweet had received over 172K Likes.
Recall, Musk acquired full ownership of Twitter on October 27, 2022, and has since changed many of the company’s policies. He laid off half of the company’s employees worldwide and reinstated the suspended accounts of some top officials and celebrities, including Donald Trump and Kanye West.
