Air Vice Marshal Aliyu Ahmed Rufai is deadBlackBox Nigeria has gathered. The retired AVM is the elder brother of the Kaduna state Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
He died in the early hours of today, Saturday January 19, 2019 in Abuja.
The death was confirmed by Governor El-Rufai through a statement by his spokesman, Samuel Aruwan.
The late Air Vice Marshal Aliyu El-Rufai was born on November 10, 1948 in Zaria, Kaduna state. He retired from the Nigerian military in 2002 after decades of serving the nation and he is survived by his wife, Hajia Rufai and six children and also several brothers and sisters one of whom is Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna state.
