By Ekiti Leaders Visit Buhari, Putin As EkitiDecides Draw Nearer
Top politicians in Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi and Babafemi Ojudu are all set for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the State as both have hit the ground running with important courtesy visits.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the duo, who currently hold top position in the Buhari-led administration, being; Minister of Mines & Solid Minerals and Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters; respectively are gunning for the governorship ticket of the APC in Ekiti State.
In pictures now making rounds online, the duo of Fayemi and Ojudu were seen posing with President Muhammadu Buhari and President Vladimir Putin of Russia (not confirmed).
It will be recalled that incumbent Governor Ayodele Fayose of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2014 displaced Dr Fayemi from the State Government House after he won the polls in all 16 Local Government Areas in the State. Later in the year, the tenure of Fayose is expected to come to an end with him leaving office as he can’t contest being a 2nd term Governor.
In recent interviews, the Ekiti PDP heavyweight has disclosed that he will make sure the ruling APC do not take over the State as he pledged to keep the State under the leadership of the main opposition party.
