Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru has extended Easter greetings to Christians in Lagos East Senatorial District and across the country, urging Nigerians to embrace unity and recommit to nation-building.

In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, the lawmaker, who chairs the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions as well as the Southern Senators’ Forum, highlighted the need for peaceful coexistence among citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

Abiru encouraged Nigerians to reflect on the significance of Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and to uphold the values of love, sacrifice, and hope associated with the season.

He said the teachings of Christ should serve as a guide for fostering harmony and mutual understanding in society.

The senator also called on citizens across all faiths to remain prayerful and support the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration toward building a more prosperous nation.

According to him, the Easter period offers an opportunity for renewed optimism and a shared commitment to national development.

Abiru urged Nigerians to strengthen their faith in the country, promote unity, and work collectively toward achieving progress and stability.

He added that the season should inspire hope, deepen national cohesion, and encourage citizens to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the nation.
