By Drama As Ikorodu Central Elects Council Leader
A mini drama played out at the Ikorodu Central secretariat as councillors disagreed over election of principal officers before the new leader, Hon Gbenga Awobajo was brisked away to a safe location.

According to an eyewitness account, trouble started earlier Thursday morning when the legislative maze went missing at the commencement of sitting.

The sitting was later held at the quadrangle of the Secretariat and a House Leader emerged by a narrow margin.

Hon Gbenga Awobajo, a 2nd term member was elected as the Speaker of the 5th Session of the Legislative House when he won the exercise where he pulled a total of 4 against 3 scored by his opponent. The aggrieved losers later walked out of the session.
