The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Lagos State Ferry Service Company (LAGFERRY), Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun has lost his bid to represent Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives.
At the All Progressives Congress (APC) Reps primary held on Friday, Balogun lost the party’s ticket to his predecessor, Hon. Paul Adeboye Kalejaiye.
The former LAGFERRY MD polled 42 votes to win the election, while Balogun secured 11 votes, and the incumbent lawmaker who is seeking a second consecutive term in office, Hon. Musibau Kolawole Taiwo had just two votes.
Upon the announcement of the final results, Kalejaiye was declared winner of the primary election, having scored the highest number of votes. He will the APC flagbearer at the House of Representatives election next year.
