For Kunle Afolayan, November 6, 2020, wasn’t just another regular day to be forgotten quickly. On that day, two interesting events happened to the 46 year old which he described as “double joy”.
The award winning movie director and father of four took to social media to express his joy, as he celebrated his son, Diekoloreoluwa’s 15th birthday. Afolayan shared lovely pictures of himself and his son on Facebook.
His much anticipated movie, ‘Citation’ also launched on Netflix.
The movie, based on real events, tells a revealing story on rape culture in Nigerian tertiary institutions. The plot, as stated on Netflix’s website, is about a bright Nigerian student who takes on the academic establishment when she reports a popular professor who tried to rape her. It’s presently available on Netflix.
