Disciples of Jagaban inaugurate Women Leaders For 57 Local Councils In Lagos

A grassroots political group, Disciples of Jagaban, Lagos State Women’s Wing had officially inaugurated its Women Leaders across the 57 Local Councils in Lagos in preparation for 2023 elections.

 

The event which took place at the Lagos Island Local Government premises on December 28, 2021, according to the members of the group is an official notice to commence the campaign to actualise the mandate of the All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become the next president of Nigeria come 2023.

According to the Woman Leader of DOJ Lagos State Women’s Wing, Hadjia Muftiat Bajulaiye, the programme became necessary to start the mobilization early to get to all the nooks and corners of Lagos State.

 

“We are starting the mobilization early because we want to get to every community to propagate the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he is a sellable brand given his track record of service in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole. Asiwaju Tinubu has sacrificed for this nation in different capacities that we women in Lagos State will go to any length to ensure that come 2023, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu becomes the president of Nigeria. We need a man of proven capacity like Asiwaju to take us to our desired New Nigeria,” she said.

Speaking further, Muftiat Bajulaiye said to achieve the group’s mandate, the group will be carrying out Continuous Voters Registration campaign amongst the women in Lagos state and enlightening them on the need to participate in politics to use their numerical strength to drive the change they want to see.

“Aside from inaugurating DOJ Women Leaders for the 57 LGAs/LCDAs in Lagos State, we are also sensitizing the women on the ongoing CVR to ensure many people have the required instrument to ensure the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the President of Nigeria come 2023 by God’s grace,” Bajulaiye said.

At the well-attended event, Hon Tanko Olasheni, who spoke about ‘Why Support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu” highlighted that Tinubu in the modern-day politics of Lagos State has been able to build leaders out of ordinary men.

 

The Mother of the day for the Occasion, Alhaja Folashade Aigoro, on her part commended the respective Women Leaders for the works they have been doing in the past that earned them recognition to be part of DOJ while encouraging them to stay steadfast as the real work to elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President has just begun.
