Dethroned Emir Of Kano, Sanusi Leaves Palace, Moves To Nassarawa State (VIDEO)
The dethroned traditional ruler of Kano, Muhammad Lamido Sanusi II has been taken out of the Emir Palace and placed under a house arrest in Nassarawa State, BlackBox Nigeria has learnt.
It was gathered that according to the Hausa tradition regarding a dethroned king, the victim must be banished out of the town and taken to a destination of his choiceand placed under house arrest there. Also, while in house arrest, he will not be allowed to attend any public function, including visiting the central mosque on Fridays.

Moments after Sanusi II dethronement was announced, the Kano State Government declared Aminu Ado Bayero as the new Emir. Aminu is the son of Ado Bayero, former Emir of Kano before Sanusi II.
This announcement was made in the presence of Kano Emirate kingmakers at the Ante Chambers of the State House.
