Israel Adesanya is expected to earn a large sum approximately $2 millions from his latest UFC appearance despite suffering a fourth consecutive defeat to Joe Pyfer in Seattle.
The former middleweight champion was stopped in the second round of their UFC Fight Night main event, a result that extended his difficult run of form but did little to dent his earning power as one of the sport’s biggest draws.
While official purse figures for the bout have not yet been publicly disclosed, industry estimates indicate that Adesanya is likely to earn between $2 million and $4 million from the fight when base salary, sponsorship deals and performance-related incentives are considered.
This aligns with his established earning pattern in recent years, where he has consistently commanded seven-figure payouts regardless of results due to his global appeal and pay-per-view value.
For context, Adesanya earned approximately $2.4 million to $2.53 million in his 2024 title fight against Dricus du Plessis despite losing, while previous marquee bouts have brought in over $3 million.
Similarly, in his 2025 clash with Nassourdine Imavov, estimates placed his base salary between $500,000 and $1 million, with additional bonuses and commercial earnings pushing the total higher.
Adesanya’s continued high earnings underline his commercial strength within the UFC, where fighter pay is influenced not only by wins and losses but also by marketability, fan base and headline status.
Although he did not secure a win bonus against Pyfer, fighters on major cards often receive additional income through sponsorship agreements, promotional compliance pay and potential discretionary bonuses from the UFC.
Reports from the Seattle event confirmed that several fighters received performance bonuses, though Adesanya was not among the winners on the night.
