Democracy Or Sit-Tight! Vladimir Putin Cliches 4th Term In Russia
With the figures coming from the state-run pollster, Russian President Vladimir Putin as won a new six-year term in a presidential election Sunday, with 73.9% of the vote cast.
Putin came into office in May 2000 and has been there ever since, extending nearly two decades in power that have brought confrontation with the West, military entanglements in the Middle East and economic growth followed by stagnation at home.
In recent time, Russia under Putin has been accused of interfering in United State of America’s election and also conspiring to kill Russian spies in United Kingdom.
