By Policemen attached to the Warri Area Command, Saturday , apprehended the Founder and General Overseer of Victory Revival Fasting and Prayer Ministry, Bishop Elijah Orhonigbe, for allegedly raping a 19-year-old girl inside his church hall in Warri, Delta State.
It was gathered that the horrid incident happened on Wednesday, May 20,2020, during a deliverance session inside the church hall as the pastor had reportedly drugged the victim before defiling her.
According to the State Police Spokesperson , ACP Mohammed Muktar Garba, the cleric was arrested following a complaint by the mother of the victim.
ACP Mohammed noted that the mother of the victim, is a member of the church where her daughter was allegedly raped by the said bishop, adding that all medical examinations conducted on the victim proved that she was raped.
The culprit who went into hiding , was nabbed on June 5, 2020.
