The defection of the People’s Democratic Party lawmakers in Lagos State House of Assembly affected the results of the Local Government Area Election as the party lost all its former strongholds which led to their victory in 2015 General Elections.
LGAs such as Oshodi/Isolo, Ojo, Amuwo Odofin and Ajeromi Ifelodun which were formerly controlled by the PDP all lost out as the defected members had to canvass for their new love, the ruling All Progressives Congress.
