Dead Body Of Osun Chief Found, Killers Arrested

Osun State police command had arrested four people suspected to have been involved in the killing of a community leader,Chief Oladepo Asaolu in Ora town in Osun State.

In a Statement by the Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, on Monday, confirmed that the missing was buried inside Akisa forest in Ora, after the motorcyclist that conveyed him on the day he went missing was identified and arrested by the police.

Meanwhile, Asaolu was said to have left his house at Kereja, Ora on October 5, 2022 for an undisclosed location traveling on a commercial motorcycle and has since then been Missing.

Also the son of Chief Oladepo Asaolu had reported to the police that on October 5, his father left his house at Kereja, Ora-Igbomina with an unknown commercial motorcyclist and had not returned after four days.

However, Chief Asaolu’s decomposing body was found in a forest, days after he was declared missing.

Investigations and the arrest of the motorcyclist, Sunday Johnson, was made as he confessed that Asaolu was killed and dumped in the forest.

The DPO led operatives and vigilante men in search of Akisa forest, Ora-Igbomina, where the victim’s body was found decomposed.
