An illegal immigrant identified as Jibril in Valencia, Spain has been deported after an heroic act in the country.
According to multiple reports, Jibril who is said to be African by nationality picked an envelope containing €4,250 which is equivalent to N2.5m, in one of the streets in Valencia.
In what seemed to be an act of sheer honesty, he took the envelope containing the money to the nearest police station. His action amazed even the police officers and everyone around.
Unfortunately for Jibril, the same gesture also led him to be abruptly deported. The officer in charge had asked him to write a statement and present his personal papers (ID).
Unable to prove that he was a legal immigrant, the said officer asked that the “hero” was detained immediately.
Presumably, Spanish authorities were alerted about Jibril’s situation and last week, he was eventually deported to his unnamed home country in Africa, alongside an indefinite ban.
