Afrobeat singer, Davido has just premiered an updated rendition of Logos Olori’s hit track, ‘Jaye Lo,’ complete with an all-new music video.
This release comes in the wake of Davido’s decision to delete the original version from his official social media accounts, a move that followed a wave of criticism sparked by a religious-themed sequence within the song’s visuals.
Blackboxnigeria reported that the Muslim community directed considerable backlash at Davido, citing offense over specific scenes featured in the initial ‘Jaye Lo’ music video.
However, with the arrival of the new video, it has been confirmed that the controversial scene responsible for the outcry has been deliberately omitted.
In a statement accompanying the video’s release, Davido wrote,
“The official visuals to @logosolori Jaye Lo’s single Out Now. 30BG let’s run it up. This video too swag abeg. Olori Gbemidebe 2.0 ACTIVATED.”
