Afrobeat singer, Davido has unfollowed his logistics manager, Isreal DMW Afeare, on Instagram after the latter issued an apology to the Muslim community on his behalf.

Blackboxnigeria recalls that Davido has been facing widespread backlash from Muslims after he took to his Twitter page and shared a music video for a song titled “Jaye Lo” by his signee, Logos Olori.

Some Muslim youths even took to the streets of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, to express their grievances and demonstrate against the music video.

Feeling the pressure from the widespread backlash and social media outrage, Davido eventually bowed to public sentiment and removed the controversial music video from his online platforms.

However, the damage had been done, and many people still demanded a formal apology from the music icon.

Coming to his aid, Isreal DMW, the logistics manager for Davido, stepped forward to issue an apology on behalf of the artist.

Isreal emphasized that the contentious music video was intended solely for entertainment purposes and was mistakenly shared without considering the potential implications it could have on religious sentiments.

An interesting development emerged when fans and followers checked Davido’s Instagram page.

It was discovered that he is no longer following Isreal DMW, raising further questions about the dynamic between the two and the potential implications for their professional relationship.
