Former U.S. Barack Obama has included internationally renowned Nigerian musicians Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, and Tems in his 2023 favorite music playlist.
Obama shared the list on his X handle on Friday.
Afrobeats songs listed include ‘Unavailable’ by Davido, ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ by Burna Boy featuring 21 Savage, ‘Amapiano’ by Asake & Olamide, and Tems’ soulful ‘Me & U’.
This marks a recurring appreciation for Nigerian artists on Obama’s playlists, as Wizkid, Rema, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr have previously earned a spot in the distinguished lineup.
The playlist also features international stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Beyonce, Victoria Monet, and 6LACK.
