The Nigerian Customs Service, Niger/Kogi area command on Thursday said an Iveco truck, with registration number: XD 146 LSD has been seized with 292 bags of imported rice.
Blackbox Nigeria gathered that the truck was intercepted along Dikko-Suleja-Abuja road of Niger state by one of the patrol team led by ASC I Mohammed Bature.
Customs Service, while stating their displeasure in smugglers, disclosed that a diesel truck loaded with 197(50kg) Bags of imported rice with paid value of N3,349,000 had been seized two weeks ago.
The public relation officer, Lomba Benjamin stated that the Nigerian customs will continue to blaze the trail in anti-smuggling activities through the development of intelligence gathering.
