It appears businessman and self-acclaimed celebrity barman, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, is on a rebranding mission. Months after his fallout with Nigerian authorities, which saw him dragged to court for abusing the Naira, the nightlife investor has now shifted focus to philanthropy.

Cubana Chief Priest, who has also been embroiled in a paternity scandal, recently paid a visit to the Federal Polytechnic Nekede in Imo State, where he pledged to sponsor the tuition fees of 300 students.

His arrival at the institution sparked excitement as students gathered in large numbers to welcome him. Stepping out of his vehicle to loud cheers, he wasted no time in making his grand announcement.

“We’ll be paying school fees for 300 students,” he declared, drawing thunderous applause from the crowd. The gesture, widely seen as a move to reshape his public image, has been met with praise, especially from students struggling to fund their education.

While some believe his newfound philanthropy is a response to his recent controversies, others argue that it aligns with his longstanding support for young Nigerians. Over the years, he has been known to use his influence to assist small businesses and sponsor social initiatives.

This latest act of generosity at Nekede Polytechnic could mark a new chapter for the businessman, whose reputation has taken several hits in recent months.

Whether it’s a sincere act of goodwill or a strategic move to rebuild his brand, one thing is certain; 300 students will be breathing a sigh of relief as they receive financial support for their education.
