COZA Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo Denies Disrespecting Apostle Babalola’s Family, Issues Public Apology

Global Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, has publicly denied making any derogatory remarks about the family of the late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, a revered figure and founding leader in Nigerian Pentecostalism.

BlackBox Nigeria reported that CAC issued a public statement addressing misconception posited by Pastor Fatoyinbo during one of his sermon which was termed as derogatory towards the founding father of Christ Apostolic Church, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola.

The statement draw mixed reactions from faithfuls as many demands apology from pastor Fatoyinbo.

However, in a statement issued on Thursday, Fatoyinbo clarified that at no point during his sermon did he speak ill of Apostle Babalola or his children.

He emphasized that his message was misinterpreted and assured that the raw copy of the sermon is available online for public verification.

“Our church is known worldwide as a place of Honor,” Fatoyinbo stated, adding that he would never take lightly the grace upon Apostle Babalola, his children, or his ministry.

He praised the children of the late spiritual leader as “shining examples of generational impact” and models for the children of visionaries.

Fatoyinbo further issued an apology in case any part of his message caused distress or hurt to the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), the family of Apostle Babalola, or his associates.

“I will never disrespect or speak of them in that manner either publicly or privately,” he said.
