COVID19: Nigerian Governors Propose 2weeks Nationwide Lockdown
A 2-week nationwide lockdown has been proposed by the Nigerian Governors in order to enhance the fight against the COVID19 pandemic in the country.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the resolution was reached during the online meeting of the Governors Forum in Wednesday, April 22nd. It was learnt that the Governors came to the agreement as a away to contain and control the spread of the dreaded coronavirus which has since killed 25 persons in Nigeria.
It will be recalled that just recently, President Muhammadu Buhari extended lockdown in Lagos and Ogun States, including the FCT Abuja as a way of reducing the spread of the virus. The first lockdown ended last Monday, April 13th, but it was extended by 2 weeks again, pushing it further till April 28th.
