COVID19: Nigeria Records 17 Deaths In 24hrs As Total Cases Rise To 2388
The mortality rate of COVID19 cases is currently on the rise as another 17 deaths has been recorded in the last 24hrs bringing it to a tally of 45 deaths in 5days and 85 deaths in recorded in Nigeria since the coronavirus pandemic started in Nigeria.
The new death toll was included in the updates given by the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control. A total of 220 new cases were reported on Saturday, May 2nd. While 62 cases were from Lagos State, 52 were from the nation’s capital, Abuja and 31 from Kaduna State.
It will be recalled that an earlier report from Kaduna State confirmed that the State has recorded its first coronavirus death, and also expecting results after sending 350 samples to NCDC for confirmation of status. It was gathered that the 31 recorded on Saturday were among the awaited results. See below for a breakdown of reported cases per State for Saturday.

As at 11:55PM, Saturday May 2nd, 2020, Nigeria has a total confirmed cases of 2,388; while 385 cases has been discharged from the confirmed cases, 85 persons have died.
