Covid-19: Police Arrests 65 Fun Seekers for violating Lockdown order in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Police Command arrested sixty five alleged to be fun seekers for violating lockdown order in Lagos.

Operatives from from Area G Command in Oke Oba Division arrested 65 suspects at 84park Hotel , Augusto Close, Oko Oba on the 29th of April, 2020.

The suspects were arrested for holding a birthday party and consuming some substances suspected to be hard/illicit drugs. Some of the suspects were found in the swimming pool catching fun, in total neglect of the social distancing regulations and the lockdown order.

The suspects who are within the range of 16 to 45years, confessed to have left their homes to hotel in defiance to the sit at home order.

Bbn360 confirmed that the manager of the hotel was also arrested and the hotel is sealed off by relevant agency of the state government. Investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court.

Lagos State commissioner of Police , CP Hakeem Odumosu psc calls on residents to continue to be law abiding. He advises parents to monitor the activities of their children, especially during this lockdown period. Together we can stop the spread of covid -19
