Nigeria has recorded less than 500 COVID-19 infections, following the noticeable decline in the number of recorded cases in the preceding weeks.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), in its latest data for Thursday, reported 464 new cases of COVID-19 in 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 156,963 — out of 1,544,008 samples tested.
Also, 229 community recoveries were recorded in Lagos State, 144 in Imo State and 45 in Akwa Ibom State. Till date, the health agency has discharged 135,812 patients who were treated and recovered from COVID-19.
An additional 16 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, as total fatality now stands at 1,939.
