The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 86 new cases of coronavirus in the country.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections to 161,737.
The health agency made the confirmation via an update on its official website, on Sunday night.
The NCDC recorded no deaths in the last 24 hours, as total fatality now stands at 2,030. So far, 147,899 cases have been discharged.
According to the new data, FCT had the highest daily cases ahead of Lagos — the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria.
The health agency gave a breakdown of the new cases as follows; FCT-33, Lagos-28, Ondo-11, Kano-7, Akwa Ibom-3, Rivers-3, Kaduna-1.
“Our discharges today includes 29 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines,” it added.
