The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 662 new cases of COVID-19 in 22 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 150,908, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.
The health agency made the confirmation on Friday night via an update on its official website.
According to the new data, 10 new deaths were also recorded in the last 24-hour, as total fatality now stands at 1,813. Till date, 127,500 cases have also been discharged.
See breakdown of the new cases: Lagos (167), FCT (116), Ogun (45), Kano (44), Akwa Ibom (35), Edo (34), Rivers (27), Kaduna (23), Osun (23), Kwara (22), Taraba (22), Oyo (20), Ondo (19), Plateau (14), Abia (11), Imo (11), Nasarawa (7), Niger (6), Bayelsa (5), Delta (5), Enugu (3), Ekiti (2), and Jigawa (1).
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” the NCDC added.
