The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 542 new cases of COVID-19 in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 152,616, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.
The health agency made the confirmation via an update on its official website, on Monday night.
An additional 23 new deaths were also recorded in the last 24 hours, as total fatality now stands at 1,862. Till date, the NCDC has discharged 129,300 patients who were treated and recovered from COVID-19.
