The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 521 new cases of COVID-19 in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 152,074, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.
The health agency made the confirmation on Sunday night via its official Twitter account.
According to the new data, 8 new deaths were also recorded in the last 24-hour, as total fatality now stands at 1,839. Till date, 128,619 cases have also been discharged.

“Our discharges today include 228 community recoveries in Lagos State and 43 community recoveries in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines,” it added.
