The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 479 new cases of COVID-19 in 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 156,496, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.
The health agency made the confirmation via an update on its official website, on Tuesday night.
The NCDC also recorded 8 new deaths in the last 24 hours, as total fatality now stands at 1,923. So far 134,551 cases have been discharged.
Breakdown
The 479 new cases are reported from – Lagos (153), Enugu (75), Rivers (50), FCT (40), Kaduna (18), Ebonyi (17), Plateau (17), Edo (17), Borno (16), Oyo (12) Kano (11), Abia (10), Cross River (10), Taraba (9), Nasarawa (7), Bauchi (4), Bayelsa (3), Delta (3), Ekiti (2), Niger (2), Ogun (2) and Akwa Ibom (1).
