The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 360 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 156,017.
The health agency made the confirmation via an update on its official website, on Monday night.
An additional 8 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, as total fatality now stands at 1,915. Till date, the NCDC has discharged 133,904 patients who were treated and recovered from COVID-19.
Noticeably, there has been a decline in the number of recorded cases in the preceding weeks, as Nigeria awaits the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines.
Breakdown
The 360 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos (120), Edo (38), Kaduna (25), FCT (23),Imo (23), Delta (19), Akwa Ibom (17),Plateau (17) Rivers (16) Nasarawa (15), Kwara (13), Oyo (9), Ogun (8), Bauchi (4), Osun (4), Kano (3), Kebbi (3), Niger (2) and Katsina (1).
