The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 1,131 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 142,578.
The public health agency disclosed this in a tweet on Wednesday night, saying so far, it has discharged 116,947 patients who were treated and recoverd from the virus and recorded 1,704 COVID-19 related deaths.

“Our discharges today include 773 community recoveries in Lagos State and 66 community recoveries in Imo State managed in line with guidelines,” it added.
