The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 1,005 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, as the second wave of the pandemic lingers on.
This development brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 144,521
The public health agency disclosed this in a tweet on Friday night.
So far, the NCDC has discharged 118,866 patients who were treated and recovered from the virus and recorded 1,734 COVID-19 related deaths.

“Our discharges today include 408 community recoveries in Lagos State and 99 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines,” it added.
