As the second wave of the pandemic lingers on, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday, reported 574 new cases of COVID-19 and 8 deaths in the country.
According to the health agency’s official website, so far, 1,441,013 samples have been tested with 146,928 confirmed cases. Active cases now stand at 146,928, discharged cases 123,009 and 1,761 deaths recorded.
Of the new cases recorded, Lagos — the epicentre of the outbreak — has 81 cases, as the total number of lab confirmed infections in the state reaches 53,292.
There are 3,108 COVID-19 patients on admission in the state, 49,810 recoveries and 374 fatalities.
